College of Engineering and Architecture

The College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) offering a five-year course, aims to:

  1. provide its graduates  a solid foundation and working knowledge of applied mathematics, physics and chemistry together with the cultural subjects in language and social sciences;
  2. foster in its graduates  Christian leadership and equip them with the technical competence and the ethical standards of the engineering professions;
  3. develop in its graduates proper methods of drafting, surveying, computer programming and electronics ;
  4. equip its graduates  with the capability to design and construct quality infrastructure and other public work projects and the capability to develop and construct medium for electronics information processing, transmission and reception; and
  5. develop in its graduates the competence of conducting research-oriented activities relevant to the technical profession they are in

Specifically the College of Engineering and Architecture aims:

  1. To imbue its graduates with the relevant technical know-how to plan, design, construct, manage and maintain:

     1.1 dams, reservoirs and other hydraulic structures and systems;

     1.2 water and waste water disposal;

     1.3 buildings and foundations;

     1.4 other types of civil works used by humans

  2. To develop in its graduates their sense of social  awareness/ consciousness regarding environmental issues and concerns
  3. To instill in the minds and hearts of its graduates their professional, ethical responsibilities following the laws of God and laws of man.
  4. To enhance the technical skills and competencies of its graduates and fully utilize their knowledge of arts, sciences and engineering concepts;
  5. To prepare its graduates for their future profession and expose them to a culture of research along the Civil Engineering Field of practices.
